Team Lead PHP / GO (m/f/d) – relocation

Our partner, a successful company in the Internet Publishing sector, is looking for a Team Lead PHP/GO (m/f/d) to drive the development of its digital platform in the area of insurance products. This is a full-time, permanent position on-site in Munich, Germany (partial work from home is possible).

Your responsibilities:

• Develop new products and their functions within the green field
• Take ownership of the products and features created and work closely with the company’s management team
• Conceptualize the overall technical architecture consisting of backend, database, cache, etc. and lead technical discussions with various stakeholders.
• Create well-structured, reusable and documented code, develop automated release processes (continuous integration) and feature testing (unit testing) to ensure product reliability and high quality
• Be responsible for the team and train other team members
• Participate in functional recruitment interviews

Required qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional software development experience in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented software development using PHP and MySQL
• Experience with Go is not mandatory
• First experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g. EKS and RDS)
• Strive for best-in-class development practices and clean code, have an eye for quality, work independently, and are problem-solving oriented
• Act as a skilled problem solver, give and take feedback
• Be a motivating player on your team and inspire others to achieve high results
• Have a good command of written and spoken English (C1) + ideally basic German communication skills
