Team Lead Java (m/f/d) – relocation

Our partner, a successful company in the Internet Publishing sector, is looking for a Team Lead Java (m/f/d)  to drive the development of its digital platform in the area of insurance products. This is a full-time, permanent position on-site in Munich, Germany (partial work from home is possible).

Relocation from abroad is possible. We will take care of your visa application and relocation to Germany. Your family members (spouse, children under 18 years old) will get a visa as well.

Your responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to perform backend development for various applications and APIs
• Take full ownership of the tasks, from understanding requirements, through implementation and pull requests, to successful deployment into production, emphasizing clean code, unit testing
• Lead a team of Java developers
• Participate in a collaborative, rotation-based process to analyze, prioritize, and resolve production issues
• Play a vital role in keeping the applications technologically up to date

Required qualifications:

• Extensive experience in web application development, specializing in Spring or Java EE, JPA, and SQL queries, with a strong desire to assume ownership
• Exceptional communication skills
• Proficient in mentoring, problem-solving, and decision-making
• Demonstrated effectiveness in organizational and time management
• Fluent in both written and spoken English; German is a plus

Technical stack: Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Vue.js, ECMAScript, Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, Gradle, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Slack, Jenkins, and many others.
