(Senior) PHP Developer (m/f/d) – relocation

Our partner, a successful company in the Internet Publishing sector, is looking for a (Senior) PHP Developer (m/f/d) to drive the development of its digital platform. This is a full-time, permanent position on-site in Cologne, Germany (partial work from home is possible).

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and support new products and product features.
• Take ownership for the products and features you create and collaborate closely with product management
• Conceptualize the overall technical architecture, consisting of front-end, back-end, database, caches, etc. and drive technical discussions with the different stakeholders
• Build well-structured, reusable, and documented code, design automated release processes (continuous integration) and test features (unit testing) to ensure robustness and high quality of the product
• Integration of modern backend technologies (MySQL, Redis, Doctrine, Elastic, ProxySQL) built upon a well-established foundation using current PHP versions

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficient knowledge of object-oriented software development with PHP and MySQL
• Striving for best-in-class development practices and clean code, are quality aware and work independently and solution-oriented
• Problem solving skills and the ability to give and embrace feedback
• Fluent English or German (at least C1 level)
