DevOps Engineer (System Administrator) (m/f/d) - relocation
Our partner is looking for a DevOps Engineer (System Administrator) (m/f/d) with fluent German to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position onsite in Dresden, Germany.
Relocation from abroad is possible. We will take care of your visa application and relocation to Germany. Your family members (spouse, children under 18 years old) will get a visa as well.
Your responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting up, maintaining, and expanding our servers (no on-call duty required)
- Further scaling of our overall systems in a rapidly growing environment
- Implementing backup and monitoring strategies and solutions
- Expanding our deployment processes, including continuous integration with Bamboo
- Managing centralized configurations with Saltstack as part of daily tasks
- Adapting and creating automation processes and automated system configurations (scripting)
Required qualifications:
- Professional experience as a system administrator, particularly with Debian Linux, with some exposure to PHP
- Initial experience with rollout tools such as Saltstack, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Proficient in using Bash, Nginx, PHP-FPM, and MySQL (including replication and backups)
- Eager to learn about Elasticsearch and Redis
- Strong teamwork skills, high quality awareness, and the ability to work independently
- Fluent German (C1), English (C1)
