Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d) - relocation
Our partner is looking for a Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d) with fluent German to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position onsite in Cologne, Germany.
Relocation from abroad is possible. We will take care of your visa application and relocation to Germany. Your family members (spouse, children under 18 years old) will get a visa as well.
Your responsibilities:
- Implementation: Integrate models into our product using AWS and work closely with the development team.
- Driving Innovation: Contribute to the growth of our data science department by automating business processes and delivering customized results.
- Independent Work: Develop machine learning services, focusing on recommendation systems, from design to go-live.
- Stay Updated: Keep up with machine learning trends and explore generative AI models like Transformers and ChatGPT with your team.
- Experiment Management: Oversee training experiments using MLOps frameworks like MLFlow to enhance our product.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and business intelligence managers in a cross-functional team.
Required qualifications:
- Education: Strong academic background, such as a degree in data science, (business) informatics, mathematics, physics, or statistics.
- Professional Experience: Initial hands-on experience in data science projects, ideally with some exposure to ranking and recommendation systems.
- Tools: Proficiency in the Python Data Science Stack (Pandas, SKLearn, SciPy) and familiarity with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Problem-Solving: Creativity and curiosity in using the latest data science algorithms to enhance our products.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Eagerness to work across disciplines, particularly between IT and product management, and to engage in knowledge sharing within the Data Science Community.
- Language Skills: Fluent German (C1), English (C1).
