Data Science & Analytics Team Leader (m/f/d) - relocation
Our partner is looking for a Data Science & Analytics Team Leader (m/f/d) with fluent German to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position onsite in Leipzig, Germany.
Relocation from abroad is possible. We will take care of your visa application and relocation to Germany. Your family members (spouse, children under 18 years old) will get a visa as well.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize machine learning models, big data, and data processing systems
- Create data-driven features like personalized recommendations to enhance customer experience
- Integrate data models and analytics into travel software
- Improve the data science architecture and technical environment
- Embed data analysis into website optimization processes
- Ensure high data quality, stable models, and continuous improvement
- Lead and motivate the Data Science / Data Analytics team
- Collaborate with management on strategic optimization initiatives
Required qualifications:
- Strong academic background, with a degree or PhD in (business) mathematics, (business) informatics, physics, or related fields
- Extensive experience in data science, data analytics, or data-driven roles within management consulting, banking, or e-commerce sectors
- Strong interest in e-commerce and online business
- Entrepreneurial mindset with proven leadership capabilities
- Excellent analytical skills paired with solid programming expertise
- Demonstrated ability to execute projects, ensure process reliability, take initiative, work well in teams, and show dedication
- Fluent German (C1), English (C1)
