Data Business Analyst (m/f/d)- relocation

Our partner, a well-known German online platform, is seeking a Data Business Analyst (m/f/d) – relocation to join their team. This is a full-time position in the Düsseldorf metropolitan area, Germany (partial work from home is possible).

Your day-to-day activities:

• Conducting requirements gathering sessions and consulting with stakeholders
• Establishing and documenting a comprehensive governance strategy for KPIs and reporting to ensure data integrity, foster enterprise-wide adoption, and catalog data assets (including metadata and data lineage)
• Developing functional specifications and translating business insights
• Collaborating with technical teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented accurately.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation

Job requirements

• Previous experience as a Data Business Analyst in a corporate & IT environment
• Experience in working in a global consultancy firm (eg Big4)
• Experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Strong background in analytical and visualisation tools such as Tableu
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities (Fluency in English)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.

Nice to have skills

• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of industry-standard methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, JIRA, Confluence)
• Knowledge of Collibra for data governance and collaboration
• Background in Retail or FMCG
• Certification in CDMP/DAMA or DMBOK
• German language as a plus
